Widdington Village Hall, Essex

The Widdington Village Hall Management Committee approached the Practice initially to prepare feasibility studies for a new hall to replace the existing hall which was too small and which was beyond reasonable repair.

After presentation of alternative schemes to the Parish Council and the village, Planning Permission was obtained for the favoured scheme. Eventually a Lottery Grant enabled the scheme to proceed.

The existing buildings were refurbished to include new toilets and a new heating system and the new hall built in place of the old hall which was demolished. The new hall is timber framed and clad in traditional shiplap boarding.
