19 Albert
Street, Cambridge
House alterations
A series of projects was carried
out at this private house at the end of a close-knit
early Victorian terrace in central Cambridge.
Development
was restricted by the nature of the site, but
the opportunities were maximised by extending
the house with its neighbour, as a pair. The
rear of the houses had a south facing aspect,
with privacy provided by the adjacent large garden
and mature trees. The opportunity was taken to
add a garden room and bedroom above with views
over and access to the garden. At a later date
further work was carried out to link the
two houses when they came under the same ownership. |
